NEW Faster Easier Method!
I have not tried this system yet but I am excited to as it should be twice as efficient and simpler to use. Prusiks can snag which makes them extra safe, but also slow. The above standard process is very slow and cumbersome. This should be a lot faster and just as safe and just a little more initial setup and requires a "guide style" belay device. However, do not be frieghtened completely away, you'll be starting on the ground normally not setting up on the side of a crevasse like in the video, so it will be less complicated:
